Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre classes include singing, dancing, acting and games to teach performance while building students' confidence. These classes are run in full term blocks in accordance with the academic year. You must pre-book your place and a deposit must be paid to ensure your child's place. Flexible payment options available for the term and new members are welcome to join from September 2025. Our Junior Musical theatre group (8-12 years) has been running since January 2023. This group have performed at our annual Christmas concerts, Alice in Wonderland in An Taibhdhearc in June 2024 and Shrek the Musical in The Town Hall Theatre in June 2025. A two-week paid trial is available before committing to the term. Each academic year ends with a performance or event.

Our new classes for 5-7 years and seniors (12-teens) start from September 2025.

Classes take place every Tuesday in Scoil Íde, Ard na Mara, Salthill.

2.30-3.15pm 5-7 years
4.30-6.00pm 8-12 years
6.15-7.45pm 12-teens

Classes return from September 9th and trials available until October mid-term break as long as there are spaces.

Benefits of Musical Theatre Classes

Singing

Classes will include warm-ups, singing with proper technique and breath control while learning fun songs from a range of different styles.

Dancing

Classes will include a range of dance styles and build their fitness.

Acting

Students will learn how to act through improvisation, games and scripts. This will also improve communication skills.

Games

Games will be used to improve collaboration and experiment with performance.

Social Skills

Students will learn to work together through group work, improvisation and games.

Build Confidence

These classes will help to build confidence through performing, working together and developing communication skills.
